We’re thrilled to welcome you and 2300+ athletes to Next Era – Seattle 2026! Please review the following information carefully to help your team prepare for the weekend.

🏆 Finals Information

This high energy, college style scoring event is a highlight of the weekend. The event features a Live DJ, Event Celebration Props, Polaroid Pic Souvenirs, and Custom Next Era Finals leotards for all qualifiers.

*Please Note: this event is not sanctioned

Finals Qualification & Notification

  • Top 7 athletes per level per event (Levels 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, P, D, Sa) will advance to finals.

  • Ties are broken by the highest All-Around score.

  • Coaches of athletes who qualify for event finals will be notified no later than 10pm Friday, January 30th.

    • *Please let us know in advance if your club won't be participating in this event

Finals Check-In & Leotard Pick-Up

  • Athletes will check in up stairs at the Admission Desk, then proceed to the competition floor to pick up their finals leotard (to the left of the head scorer’s table).

  • Finals leotards (provided) must be worn; athletes will change in the athlete-only restrooms located inside the main venue.

Finals Structure & Awards

  • Gym splits:

    • Gym #B: Levels 6, D, P, Sa

    • Gym #A: Levels 7, 8, 9, 10

  • 15-min Open Warm-up

  • 18-minute Event Warm-up for all rotations

  • All athletes will be individually recognized prior to each event.

  • Awards: Top 3 per event and top team in each gym will be recognized.

💧 Water Reminder

Next Era – Seattle is a low-waste event.

Please bring your refillable water bottle—water fill stations are available throughout the venue.

No bottled water will be provided.

🧑‍🏫 Coaches Information (IMPORTANT!)

We will not be holding formal coaches meetings before each session.

Please review the following details carefully.

Scratches:

Please submit any scratches/athlete scorecard to the head table prior to open warm-up.

Format:

Format is Modified Non-Traditional A and B events, warm up, compete. Equipment will be marked flight “A” or “B”.

Athlete Introduction: 

At the conclusion of our 20 min open warm-up, please have your athletes line up at their first event for introductions.

Warm Up:

  • Vault: Warm up all athletes in flight and then compete.

The amount of time will be determined by the number of gymnasts in the largest squad.

  • Bars: Warm up all athletes in flight and then compete.

  • Beam: Warm up all athletes and then compete.

  • Floor: For all levels and divisions, the first 6 athletes will warm up and then all other athletes will warm up in between routines. There should never be more than 6 athletes on the floor at once.

  • Exception: Level 2, Level 3, Bronze and Silver may block warmup.

  • Judges will signify when to clear the floor. 

  • Bump Rotations: Please rotate to your next event when the equipment is open to keep the meet moving. 

Floor Music:

Clubs/coaches will be responsible for playing your own music. Dongles will be provided.

Inquiries:

Inquiry forms can be found at the scoring table. Turn all inquiries into the Meet Director or Meet Referee. Do not give forms to judges. Be aware your scores can stay the same, go up, or go down.

Equipment:

  • Please keep all equipment at the events, there is plenty of equipment at each event.

  • The use of a hand placement mat is for Yurchenko vaults only.

  • Pulling mats onto and off the floor is allowed.

  • Marked borders on additional mats on the floor should be removed with a damp towel after use. There is a 0.10 deduction (with NO WARNING) for failure to mark the boundary on the additional mats.

  • Springboards are NOT allowed on 8” mats.

  • You may only use tape or Velcro strip to mark runways on vault. Chalk is NOT allowed.

  • ONLY chalk is allowed on the Hand placement mat, Vault board and Vault table. Tape is NOT allowed:

Scores & Awards:

  • Scores posted on ScoreCat and MyUSAGym.

  • Awards follow each session in the designated area.

  • Seniors will receive gifts and recognition at awards – please remind them to attend.

⚠️ Coach Reminders

  • Athletes 18 and older must complete SafeSport certification to compete.

  • Any athlete missing SafeSport will be dropped from the roster.
    Please verify your athletes’ status before arrival.

Camp Prizes:

  • Eligible: Women’s Level 9 and Level 10

  • Awards: Top Junior and top Senior All-Around, regardless of age

  • Scholarships:

    • Level 10 winners receive a $1,500 scholarship toward a college camp of their choosing

    • Level 9 winners receive a $500 scholarship toward a college camp of their choosing

Registration Invoices:

ALL invoices have been sent to gyms.

  • Sent From: accounting@nextera-seattle.com  for Women’s DP, Xcel, Elite, and Men’s DP. If you do not see your invoice, please check your junk or spam folder.

  • Final Roster Change Deadline: December 1, 2025

    • After December 1, we will issue updated invoices for any added athletes.

    • Your invoice after December 1 will reflect your USAG registrations as of that date. Any additional athletes not paid for on your original invoice will be billed.

  • Refunds for Scratches:

    • If you dropped or scratched athletes by November 1, 2025, any reimbursement owed will be issued after December 1, 2025. We hold refunds until then in case additions after November 1 offset the amount due back.
